Check out what we are getting up to in class on our Dojo page!
Times Tables
In Year 3 we are always trying to improve our times tables. At the end of Year 4 your child will take a times tables test and their results will be collected by the DfE. We want them to achieve well so we ask you to practice this important skill with them at home.
You can use these links to help you practice at home.

Modern Foreign Language
In Year 3 we learn Polish. We are very lucky to have Mrs Urbanowicz to teach us!
We learn range of vocabulary and practice short conversations with each other. Our Polish children help us practice too!
St Malachy's Mission
God asks us to:
-accept and respect everyone.
-always behave sensibly and safely.
-work hard ourselves and keep everyone learning.
-look after ourselves, others and all the things in our school.
-be the BEST version of ourselves.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation
The children who have been baptised in the Catholic church will prepare for and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the Spring Term of Year 3. Have a look in the 'Faith and Community' tab for more information.
Reading
We love to read! As a class we take part in guided reading and echo reading as well as listening to stories for pleasure! Your child will be given a reading book but can also choose from our class library. If your child reads another book apart from their reading book let us know via Dojo! They are welcome to bring it in too!
PE
PE is on a Thursday afternoon. We will provide a PE kit for your child and a pump bag to keep it in. Please send in a pair of black school pumps clearly labelled with your child's name. These will be kept in school.
Forest School
We have Forest School on Monday afternoon. Please ensure your child brings appropriate clothes (trousers, t-shirt, hoodie/jumper, coat and wellies and a waterproof coat) and a carrier bag to keep them in. Thank you.
