Check out what we are getting up to in class on our Dojo page!
Times Tables
Year 4 is an important year for multiplication tables! At the end of the year your child will take a times tables test for the DfE and we want them to achieve well.
We practice times tables regularly in school but need your help top work on them at home too. It is important they are secure in them all.
There are some links below to help with multiplication skills.
Children are encouraged to go on TTRockstars as often as they can to practise their times tables. If your child needs their log in details then please message Miss Lane on Dojo.

Modern Foreign Language
In Year 4 we learn Polish. We are very lucky to have Mrs Urbanowicz to teach us!
We learn range of vocabulary and practice short conversations with each other. Our Polish children help us practice too!
St Malachy's Mission
God asks us to:
-accept and respect everyone.
-always behave sensibly and safely.
-work hard ourselves and keep everyone learning.
-look after ourselves, others and all the things in our school.
-be the BEST version of ourselves.
The Sacrament of First Holy Communion
The children who have already received the Sacrament of Reconciliation in Year 3, will prepare for and receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion in the Summer Term of Year 4.
Have a look in the 'Faith and Community' tab for more information.
Reading
We love to read for pleasure and listen to a range of texts over the year and can choose books from our class library as well as bringing books in from home. We take part in guided and echo reading sessions to improve our fluency and have a focus on the VIPERS skills.

PE
PE takes place every Thursday. We will provide a PE kit for your child and a pump bag. All we need you to send in is a pair of black pumps which will be kept in school.
Forest School
We have Forest School on Monday afternoon. Please ensure your child brings appropriate clothes (trousers, t-shirt, hoodie/jumper, coat and wellies and a waterproof coat) and a carrier bag to keep them in. Thank you.
