Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) - French

At St. Malachy's, children in Key Stage 2 are taught French. French is led by Mrs Juan, who is a native speaker of French and a trained secondary school teacher of Modern Foreign Languages. At St Malachy's we understand the importance of languages teaching and learning to enhance children’s experience of the world and expand their options at secondary school and beyond. Children thus receive specialist teaching resources overseen by a specialist teacher of languages, and they leave St, Malachy's with a greater understanding of foreign languages and cultures, as well as valuable experience in the teaching and learning format of secondary education.
