We are so pleased with the success of our Reading Cafes on World Book Day! What a great opportunity to invite our parents and carers in to read with their child and to chat to other parents and carers over a cuppa! The children loved the additional time to share stories too and to choose from a different selection of books. We love reading! We are already looking forward to the next Reading Cafe! Parents and carers...watch out for these on Dojo!

Family Cooking Club

A fantastic Four week Family Cooking Club, creating fun and healthy recipes. The children work with Kirilea from Nurturing Creativity and Healthy Holidays Calderdale.

So far the children have created -

In Week 1 - Pizza using yoghurt and flour for the base and an apple in the sauce instead of sugar.

Week 2: Pasta Bolognese and Tomato Soup.

The food has been amazing and we look forward to trying more in the upcoming weeks.

Green Warriors Club

Green Warriors Club is an After School Club run by Newground Together and forms part of their Greener Together Project.

• Allow Young People to learn new skills and about sustainable environments.

Easter Egg Donation

On Wednesday 5th April, we were joined by Adam Tangata and Will Maher of Halifax Panthers as each child in school received an Easter Egg.

These eggs were kindly donated by Bristol Street Motors in Halifax.

A massive thank you to Halifax Panthers and Bristol Street Motors.

Great Big School Clean Up

During March, Year 6 took part in the Great Big School Clean Up. They collected 5 bags of rubbish around the grounds and roads of St Malachy's.
