PRAYER
In October we focus particularly on the Holy Rosary. Rosary Beads are a special set of prayer beads that help us to think about the prayers we are saying and what we are praying for.
To pray the rosary we hold one of the large single beads and say an Our
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, they will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Then we work through the set of single beads, saying a Hail Mary as you hold each bead in turn.
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
As you move the next single bead you say a Glory Be.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

November is the month of remembrance and we pray a special prayer to remember those who have died. We ask God to bless them and to give them everlasting life.

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.
