Safeguarding
Safeguarding is about ensuring that everyone is safe from harm – safe from bullying, safe from people who could abuse, safe from discrimination or harassment – and that we all feel safe in our environment.
At St. Malachy’s Catholic Primary Academy, we are committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of all our children in our care. We believe children have the right to learn in a supportive, caring and safe environment, which includes protection from all types of abuse. Our staff are regularly trained and vigilant for signs of harm, and are confident about applying the/our safeguarding processes to any potential safeguarding issues.
If you are ever concerned about the safety or wellbeing of someone at our school, please talk to one of the school’s Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) are:
Mrs Hodges - Headteacher
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) are:
Mrs Gorin - Family Intervention Lead
Mr Harper - Deputy Headteacher
Mrs Blasket - Assistant Headteacher
Our named Governor for Safeguarding is Mrs Theresa Booth.
