St Malachy's Catholic Primary School, A Voluntary Academy

Our mission at St Malachy's is to provide an enriching, high quality education, where we learn, love and grow with Christ at the centre, so that each individual feels nurtured and can achieve their full potential.

As a parent of a child at our school you are automatically a member of the 'Friends of St Malachys' PTA.

If you would like to get involved, please contact Mrs Hand or Mrs Chapple.

If you can offer help with the PTFA team, please get in touch.

Christmas Fayre - Thursday 5th December 2019

We are currently raising money towards an outdoor classroom.   We have the opportunity for match funding and are trying to raise £5000.

To date we have raised:  £1838.57

The PTFA arranged a 'Sponsored Walk', to raise money for a child in school (Aaron) who suffers with Cystic Fibrosis, the money is to purchase a special vest which will make it easier for Aaron to breathe, but the vests are extremely expensive - approximately £9000.

All classes took part in the Sponsored Walks - and the Children and Families of St Malachy's Catholic Primary raised over £2100 towards the vest. Fundraising is continuing and the Carol Singing Donations will also be donated towards the vest.

The Mayor of Calderdale visited our School to present a cheque for the money raised to Aaron's parents.
